The Grad Expo, which was held in the William Pitt Union Ballroom, had both paper panels and poster presentations in order to allow students from a variety of disciplines to present their research to graduate students, post-docs and faculty from across the college of Arts & Sciences. Approximately 20 students presented their research in poster form during the poster session. Ten judges--including faculty, post-docs, and graduate students from across the Arts & Sciences evaluated the poster presentations. Based on judging sheets, the top five presenters were determined and each was awarded $100.00 to be reimbursed for travel to a conference or for the purchase of materials germane to their research.
