Eight Graduate Students have been nominated for the 2009 Elizabeth Baranger Excellence in Teaching Award.

February 11, 2009 - 11:00pm

This annual award, sponsored by the University of Pittsburgh's Arts & Sciences Graduate Student Organization, was created to acknowledge and promote the outstanding teaching by graduate students at Pitt. Up to six awards will be given out; two each from the Natural Sciences, Social Sciences, and Arts and Humanities.  The nomination of each graduate student itself is an honor and indicates that their teaching has had a positive impact on students and/or colleagues.  This award honors University of Pittsburgh Vice-Provost for Graduate Studies and Professor of Physics Elizabeth Baranger.  The eight students from the Chemistry Department who have been nominated are: Adam Fleisher, Amy Grote, Filip Petronijevic, Joel Destino, Jessica Sarver, Kara George, Kathryn Tarney and Tim Cunningham.
