Joe Lizza was named a recipient of the 2020 A&S GSO Elizabeth Baranger Excellence in Teaching Award. This competitive award is named after Elizabeth Baranger, former Dean and later Vice-Provost of the Dietrich School of Arts & Sciences and acknowledges the outstanding teaching performed by graduate students at the University of Pittsburgh.
The Baranger Teaching Award is administered by Pitt’s Arts & Sciences Graduate Student Organization (A&S GSO). Each year, the organization honors up to seven graduate student instructors from each general field of study (Humanities, Social Sciences, & Natural Sciences) for excellence in teaching. Its recipients must be nominated by a faculty member, peer, or student for their dedication and commitment to education.
Congratulations Joe!
