Kabirul's group received an R01 research grant from the National Institute of General Medical Sciences, NIH on a project entitled "Site-Specific Photochemistry on Epigenetic Readers for Interactome Profiling". This grant will support the research for the next five years. The project aims to gain mechanistic insights into the role of acetylated histone and non-histone proteins in transcriptional reprogramming in cellular differentiation, lineage commitment and oncogenesis.
