Prof. Sanford Asher is the recipient of the 2016 Society for Applied Spectroscopy (SAS) Honorary Membership Award.

April 11, 2016 - 1:53pm

Prof. Asher's research involving the invention of new spectroscopic techniques, the development of UV resonance Raman spectroscopy for fundamental and trace analysis studies of molecules in complex matrices, and for studying protein folding were all key factors in awarding him this honor.

The award will be formally presented at SAS’s National Meeting SciX 2016 organized by the Federation of Analytical Chemistry and Spectroscopy Societies (FACSS) in Minneapolis, MN on Tuesday, September 20, 2016.

Congratulations, Prof. Asher!
